Apple recently announced that at their earnings report a new, never before seen, revolutionary product would be announced. What will it be? After telling retail stores to stock up on MacBooks and iPod Touches, one would expect that there would be new revisions of both. A recent report also stated confidently that an iPhone Nano, a stripped down version of the iPhone, would be coming soon as well. Artists’ renditions of a Zune-like 4th generation iPod Nano have also made their way around the internet. And, finally, the long-standing rumor is that a “MacBook Touch” will be released. Most rumors speculate that the MBT would be a full touch screen with no keyboard or trackpad built in, the only method of input would be a multi-touch display. I doubt, however, that the MBT (if it exists) would have a full 13.3″ MacBook display as that would drive the cost way up. Instead, the display may be only 7″ or 8″. What will Apple release? I think that a tablet is most likely as it fits the criteria of revolutionary and never before seen. (note that would only apply if it is a full touch display.)
