Firefox 3: R.I.P

Firefox 3 was a good browser, friendly to everything web based, except sometimes Flash. He was a young, strong browser, but, in a great tragedy, his life has come to an end. Even though our dear friend Firefox 3 was secure and always being updated to prevent viruses and worms from invading, he did this with a sacrifice. He often sucked up resources from other applications and sometimes spent eons pondering over what he should do with his 15 open tabs. Today, Firefox 3 is dead, and will live on forever in all of our hearts. He will be succeeded, in a year or two, by Firefox 4, who may very well break the records that Firefox 3 worked tirelessly to set. Rest in peace Firefox 3.
As if today, I am no longer a Firefox user. This was a big decision for me, as I have been a Firefox user since version 1.0. I hung in there, always waiting for a solution, and often they came. What really threw me over the edge, though, was the lackluster speed when loading web pages and in the program itself. Aside from that, Firefox was a resource vacuum, sucking just about all available resources into his bottomless stomach. Flash was a major issue with Firefox 3. He just didn’t like it. And those, my friends, are the reasons why I have pronounced Firefox 3 dead. I’m now using Safari under Windows Vista, and it’s amazing. It is, without a doubt, the fastest browser I have used. That’s saying something, I’ve used every version of Firefox, Opera 9.5, Internet Explorer 5, 6, 7, and 8 beta, Maxthon, and Flock. Safari is snappy and responsive with even the most intensive flash and JavaScript. I’m blown away by it and I wish that Firefox could be as good as Safari, but I don’t think it ever will be until, possibly version 4. (Again, I know I’m going to get strong opinions for comments)
That’s only in a blockquote because I couldn’t get the paragraphs to work. That’s the last one I’ve written in word processor so, it should be fixed soon. Hit me up with a comment below, email, or IM (bakere19 on AIM).
UPDATE - On request, I’m adding my system specs. 1.8gHz Pentium Dual core, 2gb DDr2 RAM, 320 gb 5400rpm HDD, Intel graphics, Vista Home Premium
UPDATE - After Vista crashed on me, I reformatted my HDD and installed Firefox instead of Safari. There must have been junk messing with the original Firefox installation, because now it’s the FireFox I wanted.

I think that exneo’s comments are DEAD-ON! I’ve been using/testing numerous types/versions (of browsers) and I have found Firefox 3 to be the VERY BEST there is (so far) out there!
I don’t say this lightly, since my criteria for a good/great browser is based on reliability/stability and speed/performance so when I give Firefox cudos for ‘getting it right’ I know that they have really worked hard at the memory usage/speed/stability issues.
Before you (or anybody else) starts to flame me, what you SHOULD do, is install Firefox 3 (into a separate folder) so as to keep the code from interfering with a previous version (like 2.x if any are already installed) and then begin with a CLEAN profile and finish up with extensions that are SURE to run (be compatible with) Firefox 3.
In my case, I’ve had it running 24/7 (for over a month so far) with NO problems whatsoever! Can’t even begin to say the same thing about IE!
If you would like to know what my ‘choice’ extensions are, reply to this forum or my email and I’ll be happy to inform you!
