Amazon UK selling top mp3 albums for 48 cents

Amazon UK has gone aggressive and slashed the prices of some classic albums to just 29p in the UK this morning (48 cents) - resulting in a mass legal downloading spree.

Albums such as Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run, Prince Ultimate Greatest Hits, Coldplay Viva La Vida (Deluxe Edition), Led Zeppelin - Mothership, Norah Jones - Come Away With Me, are available right now for the special bargain basement price. These albums are selling for less than the price of a single MP3 download on the iTunes store, and unsurprisingly are already dominating the download chart on Amazon:

No word from Amazon yet on how long this special pricing will last. But I’m betting sometime in the next couple of hours the promotion ends; shortly afterwards human resources starts adding to the number of people unemployed in the UK.
