Yesterday, I almost had a heart attack –and it was all Google’s fault.

I recently needed (well: wanted) a new computer and decided to go with an iMac, so that, using Parallels, I could run Mac OS X, Windows Vista and Linux Fedora on the same machine –very convenient for testing purposes!

Well, it’s almost that time of year again –to eat, drink, be merry, and perhaps watch a flick or two…

TechCrunch reports that the LinkedIn API that was announced earlier this year ”will eventually be accessible to any and all developers sometime in the next year.” In my opinion, making an API available would be a wise business decision for LinkedIn.

Today, the Dutch registry SIDN announced that, starting mid-January 2008, it will be possible to register numerical .nl domains. Now, do I think that these will be wildly popular?

In an article called “The word farms of the web“, the Guardian discusses a disturbing trend: more and more Made For AdSense (MFA) sites are being published that “post content optimised purely to drive ad traffic rather than having any value of its own”.

Perhaps you couldn’t tell from the title (with its terrible pun), but it is actually something that I feel strongly about: someone stealing other people’s articles to make a quick buck. Especially if they’re my articles.

Since this is my first post, I thought I’d let you know what kind of information you can expect on Dutch Delight.
Some of it will deal with (information) technology –hardly surprising since I’ve worked in IT for more than 25 years. (Hmm… That kinda shows my age, doesn’t it?)
