About Marcel Feenstra

Dutch Delight is a blog with a Dutch perspective, written by Marcel Feenstra.

By day, Marcel runs a one-man Internet consultancy called AfterImage; by night, he’s a volunteer editor at the Open Directory Project. In his spare time, he also works on Voor beginners, a collection of sites on a large (and growing) number of topics, and its English counterpart For Beginners. His two personal web sites, in Dutch and English, can be found at Marcel Feenstra punt nl and Marcel Feenstra dot com, respectively.

Marcel holds a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature from Utrecht University, one in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School (Tufts University), and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business (Dartmouth College); he’s not quite sure what to study next… :-)

He’s written two puzzle books in English (The Ultimate IQ Book and The Ultimate IQ Challenge), two in Dutch, and many articles for Dutch and American computer magazines, including “Jaar 2000 en euro: Haast is geboden” and “Euro geen fluitje van een cent” (about the Y2K problem and the introduction of the euro).

Marcel, his French wife Maria and their two daughters Laura and Sophia currently live in The Hague (The Netherlands).
