I have no problem with this story, as opposed to the questionable one entitled “My Holiday With John McCain.” It will be published in the October 16 issue of Rolling Stone.
This is the story of the real John McCain, the one who has been
hiding in plain sight. It is the story of a man who has consistently
put his own advancement above all else, a man willing to say and do
anything to achieve his ultimate ambition: to become commander in
chief, ascending to the one position that would finally enable him to
outrank his four-star father and grandfather.

More deluded Obama fanatic crap!
You have the right to publish this junk, bought with the lives of countless American heros. ! I have the right to not subscribe to rags that send it out!
Your thoughtful, well-reasoned and pertinent remark has made my day. Please, if you can find it within you to subscribe and comment on everything, I’d appreciate the comic relief. If not, it is certainly my loss.

You don’t really expect us to believe that you think the Rolling Stone article is truthful, accurate, or unbiased, do you?
Jann and RS have already endorsed Obama, and write nothing but glowing puff pieces about him. I’m not a supporter of McCain, but come on. Obama has no substance behind him, and this is really the emperor with no clothes. No major legislation. No real details about what he did with “community organizing”. He said he’s “fought for people” What the hell does that exactly mean?
It’s funny how the media presents everything about the McCain campaign as “negative”. Yet, when I saw the Spanish-language video where McCain was presented as calling Latinos “el stupido”, none of that stuck to Obama supporters nor him. “Oh, he’s not responsible for everything”. Yet, McCain is somehow responsible for what is yelled out at rallies! (and the Secret Service doubts these remarks were actually made)
I never supported McCain, but I doubt very much that he’s the self-serving clown the RS article proclaims. Obama seems to have done pretty well for himself, too, and his kids go to some nice private schools too. Why live in a million dollar house, when you can “share the wealth” and give some of that money back to the boyz in the hood, who got you elected?
I expect you to take from it whatever you take from it, and clearly something about it gave you an urge to spout buzzwords and talking points, just like McCain.
The libel laws in this country are quite specific, and publication of attributed remarks in a national magazine is quite different, legally, from the veiled innuendo and unspecific commentary of a swift boat or other campaign tactic. Yes, I believe them, and you should too.
