Like most Windows software, Norton security products, published by the Symantec Corp., come with an uninstall option to remove the software from your computer.Unfortunately, neither Symantec’s bundled uninstaller — nor a little-known, special utility from the company — removes every single thing.

I noticed the same thing when I switched to Kaspersky and used” Symantec removal tool” I searched the reg and found five leftover entries.Also after using the tool Windows update would not run anymore and would crash the system and the only way to restart it is to boot in safe mode and disable auto update then reboot.Now I guess I’ll have to reinstall.BTW the update problem started before the reg cleaning.
