Finally, ABC News reports that Intel has withdrawn from the One Laptop Per Child program because the board wanted them to cease promoting rival machines. (See above, for example.)  When you consider that just about any such PC is going to be running an Intel processor for energy efficiency and cooling reasons if for no other, WLPC asking them to go steady amounts to wanting them to leave the prom mighty early, if you ask me.  (Or, even if you don’t.)
