The weekly issue of the Windows Secrets Newsletter, recently combined with Fred Langa’s Langalist, is out. I recommend the unpaid version highly, and the paid version is worth every penny of the buck a month it costs. Give it a look.

Before they merged, I subscribed to both Fred Langa’s and Brian Livingston’s newsletters for years. Both were terrific. Having them combined is a home run. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to understand more about maintaining their system and applications.

Regarding disabling the Recyle Bin in Windows Registry . . .
That seems a bit drastic, as there are times when one may wish to recover a deleted file. A much simpler way of permanently deleting a file is to bypass the Recycle Bin. That is: CTL + Del + Enter. This works with multiple files, and in WIN XP and Vista. This also bypasses “Trash” in Windows Mail. For Outlook Express CTL + Del + TAB + Enter. For Thunderbird users, CTL + Del.
