iPhone 3G lines started in New York

So how are you spending your 4th of July? Well for a few die-hard Apple fans they are already in line for the iPhone 3G. The line is at the Cube in New York City. While I understand waiting in line for products, I have done so for the Xbox 360 and Wii, a week sounds a little dramatic, don’t you think?

So here’s something to think about, what can you do to keep busy while waiting? For me a few books wouldn’t hurt plus my Macbook would come in handy, of course only 4 hours of battery life, and of course the iPod Touch. But there is no way that I would spend an entire week outside the Apple store, maybe inside but thats another story.Engadget has full coverage of the story with pictures and some interviews are going to be posted soon.

Update

Update: So it appears that this group is all together, and we’re about to talk to their “spokesman.” We’re not ruling out the possibility of this being some kind of stunt, but we should know more very soon.

I hope it is a stunt. Seven days is WAY too early. I did 16 hours for my xbox 360 — that was difficult on its own.
