iPhone 2.0 Firmware This Friday?
According to a sources inside the Cupertino’s iPhone software development effort, it is “highly probable” that the iPhone 2.0 Golden Master will hit this Friday. The final version could arrive two weeks before the introduction of the new iPhone 3G and just in time for the promised June release. The iPhone 2.0 operating system Golden Master will follow the release of build 345, which has seen the activation of two code-signing and encryption features not previously available.
This is good news for us iPhone/iPod Touch owners out there. If this hits Friday, as it is rumored, Apple will be on target with their targeted June release that they announced at WWDC. Apple has been known to push some products back a week or two of their original plan but for everyone who owns a iPhone or iPod Touch we cannot wait another day. Assuming the firmware hits Friday I will have a full review on the iPod Touch 2.0.
Also do not buy an iPod Touch until the firmware hits, trust me.
