Vista With SP1 To Ship March 18

If you have been to Amazon in the past couple of days you might have noticed that you can preorder Windows VIsta SP1, which is set to ship on March 18, 2008. I’m just going to put two and two together and guess that SP1 will be released as an update sometime in the next week. In case you were wondering, there are no new features, just a package of all previous updates and some new ones that are supposed to improve the overall system.

I have beta tested SP1 and found nothing new or useful; also it seems to slow down file sharing on my network.

So on March 18, get your machines ready to update — or do like I do, and just wait until all of the issues are worked out.
