Do You Have Any Vista SP1 Thoughts?

I am going to keep this short and I would love to have some feedback.

I have had the new Vista Service Pack 1 installed on my laptop running Vista Home Premium for little of a week no and I must say there is no difference. I cant tell you one thing that is better or worse with my installation of Windows Vista! What is SP1 supposed to do? Have you seen any thing new or better with Vista with it installed?

I am seriously thinking about just uninstalling it from my computer because I see no use of having it. I mean when I upgraded XP to SP1 I noticed that my computer booted faster and was more reliable. I don’t maybe its just me but can you tell me one thing that is new with Vista SP1?

Hello,

When Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1 is released in production form, you might want to consider re-evaluating it. While the “release candidate” name implies it is feature complete, it could be there are some changes between the release candidate and the actual released version.

I just updated today to the SP1 RTM. File copy performance was increased, and just Windows in general feels faster.

In any case, despite whether or not you can see or feel a difference with a service pack its recommended to have it installed.

MOST of Sp1’s changes are under the hood and help in ways you might not notice. However it does have some performance boosts to. It’s worth it.

I’m waiting for now. The reading I’ve done indicates that most people won’t notice the improved network file copy speed and the majority of the other fixes are to get it ready to work with Server 2008.

I’ll give it just a little time to let the masses bleed before I jump on.
