If you decided to upgrade your iPod Touch to 1.1.3 thinking you would get all of the new apps for free you know how frustrating it is to have your iPod Touch no longer hacked and unable to use all of those great apps. This is a guide to help you downgrade from firmware 1.1.3
Download the program iPhuc, just do a google search.
2. Pull up your 1.1.1 firmware. You can find it on your Mac at ~/library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates.
3. Next you will need to extract the file. Download Stuffit Expander, once downloaded and installed control click the file and choose to open with the program to unzip the file.
4. Once unzipped locate the following file, go to firmware than dfu and than choose the file that begins with “WTF”
5. Now the simplest step, connect your iPod Touch.
6. Next start iPhuc. Once started if iTunes begins you will need to close it.
7. Now inside iPhuc type “enterrecovery”, press enter(return) and then iPhuc.
8. Next you need to reopen iPhuc. Now there should be new options available. Now type “filecopytophone”, then please type the path of the WTF file, now press enter(return) now type “cmd go” and press enter(return), quit iPhuc.
9. The final step. Now locate the original 1.1.1 ipsw file and select it and start the restore. Now the screen will go white and if it went succesfully then your iPod Touch should be downgraded.
