Dear Apple, Get everyone on board for pre-ripped DVDs!

As an iPod Touch owner and movie enthusiast there is nothing more frustrating than looking through countless torrent sites for movies that I already own on DVD just so I can watch it on the go with my iPod. Also why should I have to burn a movie with HandBake just to get on the iPod? That process usually takes an entire night to do! Don’t even get me started on the movie pricing in the iTunes Store, I refuse to buy movies from there, are you getting the point?
20th Century Fox has already started selling their Dvds with pre-ripped copies of the movie ready for play on the iPod and iTunes. This is what we need instead of the iTunes Movie Store. With this news its puzzling why Apple’s other partners, Disney, Pixar, etc, haven’t jumped on board yet? It only makes sense to do this seeing as every one and their mom has an iPod. There is a huge market for this and I doubt people will stop buying DVDs any time soon. Just imagine how many people will pick up a DVD if they see a sticker on the box that reads “iPod Ready”. Also with the rumored support of Blu-Ray on the new Macs why not do the same for Blu-Ray discs? Don’t tell me there isn’t enough room on the disk, I mean Sony even is doing this and these days they aren’t making too many smart decisions.
It makes no sense to buy more than one copy of a movie just to be able to use it on more than one player, please get the idea here Mr. Movie Studio.
