The box is HD ready and it comes with an HDMI cable so you can plug it right into your HD TV. Inside the box is a hard drive capable of holding up to 100 hours of videos. They do have a trick to allow you save more movies though. On the hard drive its self it only stores the first 30 seconds of a film and while that is playing it is downloading the rest of the film, kind of like a Youtube video.
