Which Operating System Do You Use? Why?

I am interested to find out which OS you prefer to use and why? Personally I use OS X the most often but I do use Windows XP as well. I prefer to OS X because of its integration with all of its software. There is nothing better then turning on the computer and not receiving any error nor random crashes. Like I said I also use Windows XP but mostly for my school work. My school uses Windows XP so it makes doing work at home easier. The OS is also simple to use and very friendly but it subject to viruses and crashing.
So what OS do you use? Please list some reasons why via comment.

my favorite OS is Ubuntu Linux.
then windows xp pro.
en last (whispering) vista (for looks only!)
mac look cool but i can not say any thing about them because i have´n used any macs.

I currently use Windows Vista, mainly because I can’t get my wireless adapter working in Linux and I ‘upgraded’ from XP

I mainly like Linux just because of the learning involved. I love the open source community. As great as Linux is at this stage, I still kept Windows on the machine because there will always be situations when Windows is needed. Some have been able to completely move from the Windows platform but I still find that many of the things I do on Windows I can still only do on Windows, but I’m sure that’s only a temporary problem.

Homecomputers:
- Win XP Home (laptop)
- Win XP Proffesional (desktop) <- had Vista but i ‘upgrade’ it to XP pro
- Ubuntu 7.10 (hobby computer) mainly used for programming.
Work:
UNIXWARE 7.1.4
IRIX 6.5.30
The reason that i use XP is because 99% of the computersprograms are written for this OS , so i really don’t have a choice if i want to play a game or so.

Windows XP. It mostly works and is well supported.Lots information online, if you have to get under the hood there are lots of wizard-tools available. Struggling for years to switch to Linux. Been trying to switch to Ubuntu since version 4.10, now at 8.04 no joy. You really have to be a genius to use it. Knoppix 3.6 and Mandriva work a little better, very intuitive interfaces , I managed to use those a little better.
