How to erase a CD-RW in OS X and Windows

OS X

  1. Interest the CD-RW 
  2. Open the program "Disk Utility"(found in Applications-Utilities)
  3. Navigate to the targeted CD and click Erase, make sure have selected the device icon and not the volume icon.

Windows

  1. Click Start
  2. My Computer
  3. Navigate to the CD and right click and then click "Erase this CD-RW"

I like how you made it for OS X, but can you make a tutorial on how to erasea CD-R on Windows? That would be real helpful if you could do that.

hey, how do you erase a CD-R in windows. not a CD-RW, a CD-R.

You cannot erase a CD-R. The R stands for, recordable not re-recordable. Only RW, re-writable, disks can be rewritten on to.
