Weird Zune software error

Yes, I had the same problem! Infact now the update will not install nor can I remove the old Ver of Zune software to install it… Zune Tech Support is a JOKE! They provided no help this time nor much help with a previous problem I had!!! I Love my Zune but wouldn’t wish the Zune Tech Support guys on my worst enemy…

same hear i got the weird pic, i tryed to update roll back diterc x to 9.0b or later it dosent work either .

help please !!

Heres the fix from a nice Zune forum user!!

Garbled Lines/White Box fix here:
(this also fixes overall program slowness).

Exit the Zune software
1) Start->Run->regedit
2) Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Zune\GeneralS ettings
3) Right click and click New->DWORD Value. Name it ReevaluateVideoSettings
4) Right click again and create a new DWORD Value. Name it UseGDI.
5) Press enter, then right click it again and click Modify
6) Change the Value Data to 1. It should be hexadecimal by default.
7) Restart the zune software.

i unistalled the software and reinstalled it but still the same BS!!! help!! its getting me pissed off ever lil thing is a problem!!!!!

yea i get same problem and mine worked fine till OS crashed and i did a partial restore on the computer but now it wont install the software. it downloads and gets through but doesnt install and like you said F@!$ing microsoft’s support sucks balls plz help

i had the same exact problem.i got the original Zune a couple days after it came out,
and then the update came to installed it,and after like the fucking hour it takes for the installation,the fucking Zune marketplace and shit like that didnt work.it just had like those pink and green lines and glitched type of things on on it.
i found a way around it the time it happened,
but i have no idea what i did.

my zune software doesn’t do that but wat it does when i click the zune icon to open the software a pop up comes out and says zune has encounter a problem and needs to close and i am not able to sync my zune and suggestion please let me know

It all started with the software working fine, but it’s not picking up my Zune device, when I am ripping music into my collection. So I have restarted the Zune device and checked my computer device manager and its reading, but not the software. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Zune software, to get it open up. Nothing just nothing. If anyone have a tip of what I should do, please shot me an e-mail to open up this software, please. Also, happy Fathers day to all you dads.
