Did You Get Your $99 HD DVD Player Today?

As most of you know today Wal-Mart had a Toshiba HD DVD player on sale for only $99 and like any like any electronic addict would do, I woke up bright and early and went to Wal-Mart. They had a big display of the HD DVD players in the front of the store, along with a Samsung HD-TV, and upon this was the great $99.98 price tag, I tell you I almost wept in tears. So I happily carried it up front and did self check out and of course was checked right away for my receipt, which I had of course.
So how is the player?
Well I don’t have my HDTV yet, as I said I am an “addict,” but the quality of the product is excellent and well worth more than the $99.98 price tag. I am so excited to test it out once I choose a monitor. From what I hear this is a solid HD DVD player and some even say it’s better than the Xbox 360 HD DVD player, which I was going to purchase in the first place. Also with this purchase I will be receiving 5 free HD DVD movies, no blockbusters of course, but hey it’s FREE!
So it’s obvious I am going with HD DVD over Blu-ray, and not just because I hate Sony; I think many customers are feeling the same way I am right now — the cheaper the better — remember how VHS won the war against Beta?
