5 Reasons Vista Made Me Speechless

  • No Related Post

So Microsoft has the 100 Reasons You’ll Be Speechless in a good way, so I have compiled the top 5 reasons Vista made me Speechless in a bad way.

5. For some lovely reason it drains my laptop battery more so then XP. It seems that on a good 3 hour battery I can only squeeze out 1 1/2 hours worth. I have done some tweaks so improve the battery life but is still isn’t any thing to be proud of.

4. Vista loves to delete my system restores. I have had on occasion where I have saved a system restore just to find that Vista felt the need to delete the file. This has called me to reinstall Vista once and wasted a lovely Saturday.

3. CHKDSK runs on every boot up. There is nothing from with my hard disk but on every boot the CHKDSK runs. I have changed the settings in the registry to change this but it still does it. This causes me not to be able to use Disk Fragmenter.

2. Upon my first install of Vista, a upgrade from XP, the Hard Drive had no space to save files. I have a 80gig HD on my laptop and I was unable to do anything because it said the disk was completely full. Also I was unable to check and see what was on the disk. So I ultimately had to reinstall Vista.

1. I hate the thousands of stupid pop ups, “Windows needs your permission to continue”. Yes Vista I under stand that I clicked on System Restore, you don’t have to ask me several times to see if I really want to open it. If I clicked I want to open the file!
While I do not think Vista is terrible its just the little things that annoy me , so what about Vista makes you speechless?[tags]microsoft, vista, windows [/tags]

lol RIGHTLY SAID and if you ask me this is one of microsofts weaker OS. and for all those who have P.O.S Vista i would suggest down grading to Windows ME which sucks so much less now that Vista is here
HOOOOO RRAY.

I’d not say it’s weak, I’d say it’s badly designed and over the top.
I guess what I’m saying is… at least the thought was there, kinda thing.

so why havent you switched to another OS? :)

I am making the transition over to OS X. I do need Windows right now for my Zune and I do use the Media Center extender for my Xbox 360. Its not that bad of an OS, but it does annoy the hell out of me sometimes!

I’ve documented a bunch of my issues on my blog, but here are a few to add to your list:

- on my 3GB, dual core intel,

While upgrading to Leopard, I set up Boot Camp and Vista Home Premium. Wanting to save space I tried to uninstall unnecessary components and found out that you can’t! Huh?!? I can disable but NOT uninstall.

What can i say? Get a Mac…

Hey Julis, I have a iMac, but I have to use my laptop in class, and I am too broke to buy a Macbook, but I am saving up!!

Hello,

What brand and model of notebook computer do you have, and what are its specifications? Aside from an 80GB hard disk drive, you really have not told us much about the operating environment in which you are trying to use Microsoft Windows Vista. Some of the problems you are reporting sound like BIOS or driver problems, which might be fixable by downloading updates from the support web site of the notebook computer’s manufacturer.

Why bother paying for junk that forces you to upgrade your hardware whenever Microsoft wants you to? Just say NO to Microsoft!

I’ve been reading a number of negative blogs and comments about Windows Vista, and while I’m not happy with Microsoft for being a cowboy (we in the UK were being charged £350 for the Ultimate version- this is about $700!), I’m not always agreeing with them.

Some of the bloggers are so irritating they deserve a telling off, or a good roughing up. On this page a twit blogged this comment:

‘1. I hate the thousands of stupid pop ups, “Windows needs your permission to continue”. Yes Vista I under stand that I clicked on System Restore, you don’t have to ask me several times to see if I really want to open it. If I clicked I want to open the file! ‘

If this really is the top five reasons that Mac fan-boys can come up with for not using Vista then it proves that Vista is a good operating system. If you have this problem, you can easily solve it, by going into the control panel and turning it off! Solved!!!!

Instead, some morons think it better to complain about something which relatively easy to fix. The only logical reason behind this motive, and moaning, is that they are either retarded or they are trying to promote Apple. The latter being the most obvious, because Apple were using this to promote their own goods. What it doesn’t mention in the advertising is that Window users can turn the feature off with just a few clicks of the mouse.

I think the problem that Mac users have with using computers is:

1. they haven’t a clue.
2. they don’t understand computers.
3. they are either retarded or ignorant.

I think the lesson here is: if you understand computers use Windows, or Linux; if not, then you have a pick of Apple OS’ to chose from. But please, STOP MOANING ABOUT STUPID THINGS!!! Especially if you don’t understand them.

Well I’m done with hating Vista.
- To start oviously you need to know how much resources you have for it to run properly, this said bacause VISTA is a HUNGRY O.S. so read the box first. and usually a home premium version would take around 17 to 20 Gigbs. More so, depending on how much you load the system is how it’s going to respond. So i have a hp (lol) but this is a cheap pocket roket and out of it i feel like drawning. Vista forever!!! OF course until the new SERVICE pack comes out or a new good O.S.
