Today the iPod Touch has been officially hacked to run apps from the iPhone and new apps. People are using what is called the “jailbreak” method of unlocking their iPod Touchs. Several people have gotten the missing applications from the iPhone to work on the Touch like Mail and Maps. This comes a day after a jailbreak hack was released for the firmware 1.1.1, which is used both on the iPhone and iPod Touch.This is great news for us iPod Touch users who where bummed out about the missing applications for the Touch.

Once my iPod Touch comes in the mail I will share with you pictures of my own but of course 2 day shipping takes a week for me, bad luck with the mail. Apple must be hard at work right now coming up with a fix for this in the new firmware, but why? I mean its not like people are hacking their iPod Touchs to break away from AT&T like the iPhone hacks.
