Before the new 2.1 firmware is released for the Zune here are the things I would want to see for it, as of right now to me it is a huge failure.

5. Improved connectivity: Whenever the Zune is recognized by my computer it almost freezes every time, not sure if I am the only one with this problem.

4. New interface: Change it up some, add some neat icons or something that provides eye candy.

3. More file formats: Why doesn’t this Microsoft device use the “plays for sure” formats? It is confusing, and a pain to wait an hour for an Episode of The Office to get on my Zune, just to be out of sync.

2. Improved battery life: This thing is a battery whore. I took a senior trip to Florida, 5 hour drive, and it was dead upon arrival. Maybe have it where you can navigate between songs without making the screen active, that would help some.

1. Take advantage of Wi-Fi: You had Wi-Fi a year before the iPod Touch and it is making yours look obsolete. Maybe have some new features where you can connect to your PC, or use it as a media center extender. Internet would be amazing but damn near impossible for that thing.

Also adding downloads straight from the device would be nice.

But knowing my Microsoft they will add a new playback feature and that’s it.
