The Halo 3 Ending (Warning: Spoilers)

So I just beat Halo 3 last night and I was very satisfied with the ending, to think that Master Chief was dead then to know that he made it, great stuff. Still there are a lot of answers left unanswered like, What happened to all of the Covenant?

Yes, Hi, I beat Halo 3 a couple of times, and at the ending of Halo 3 on Legendary it shows, Mr.Chief and Cortana, and then this light, that is one true proof of Halo 4, i don’t know what happened to the covenant, but they were going back to their world, so they must be alive, and i HEARD from a SpoileR on gamespot.com
that the Halo 4 Story line is, Master Chief’s ship crashes on a planet, and that planet is where Cortana was created, and her creator is there, ….thats what i’ve heard
