Moving to a Mac from a Windows PC

About a month ago after being sick and tired of the fun with Windows Vista I decided to venture in the world of OS X with the purchase of my first Mac computer. I bought a G4 iMac from ebay for a very low price and the system specs are fair enough, running at 1ghz and 1gig of RAM. At first I was blown way by its beautiful interface and simplicity to do my every day tasks. Also with the purchase of the Mac I bought iLife 06 and iWork 08, and needless to say I am in love with both of the suites. First off Keynote is the best presentation maker I have ever seen before. The transitions are stunning to see and truly make any crappy school project look professional. iWork is just a simple yet beautiful suite that makes doing any type of work related project as easy as possible.

With iLife you will find that all of the applications bundled in the suite work together better then any other suite you will see out there. Like with most of Apples software you can expect to be as simple as ever, whether you are recording a Podcast in GarageBand or setting up your own blog in iWeb you won’t have to worry about going to the help guide because its just hat simple. Now that I have had my Mac for over a month I find myself doing most of my work on their and not on my Windows based laptop. Also I would like to say that there is no learning curve when moving from Windows to OS X, this is because they are both basically set up to do the same thing so its not like night and day.

So if you are thinking about making the change to a Mac I say you do it and never look back!
