Yesterday Amazon released its much anticipated beta of its own music store. Amazon, formerly just a online book store, offers one big advantage over Apple’s iTunes and that is its DRM-free music. Also the music is cheaper: songs range from 89 cents to 99 cents and full CDs cost from $5.99 to $9.99.
The amount of music and labels at the store are not known, but Amazon plans to take on Apple’s monopoly of digital music sales.
