He is looking for just a normal multi tasking laptop to have for like games and movies and stuff. He prefers a gig of ram and maybe a duel core processor but nothing to fancy. So do any of you have any personal experiences with Dell or HP? I am trying to get him to buy an Apple laptop but its not going well. He wants something under or around $700.
So HP or Dell guys? Remember something basic but can do stuff like games like WOW and HD movies.

So was I. I used that site for everything (legal, of course) and as you know the Web site has been shut down to us Americans, if you don’t know the site was pressured by the movie industry and other powerful people to take the site down and they refused to do so, so we, Americans, got banned*Insert sad face.* So I have a better site then that is called Torrentportal.

The Ubuntu guys released beta version 7.10. This is of course still in beta form so it has a few bugs here and there. For the first time Ubuntu was able to install my wireless cards drivers! Also my network printer works wonderfully with the new release. So to me this is the best version of Ubuntu released to date. So please go here to download and test the beta.
For those of you afraid to install Linux on your PC you can always burn the .iso to a cd or dvd and boot from the disk and use Linux without ever touching your hard drive.

The Red Sox won the American League East yesterday clinching their spot in the MLB Playoffs as did the Chicago Cubs who won the National League Central. The Cubs are going to the playoffs with first year manager Lou Piniella.
Yesterday the Mets fell into 2nd place in the NL East with the Phillys winning and the Mets losing their game.

So I just beat Halo 3 last night and I was very satisfied with the ending, to think that Master Chief was dead then to know that he made it, great stuff. Still there are a lot of answers left unanswered like, What happened to all of the Covenant?
So here’s a video of the ending.

There is a great open source game floating around on the net entitled, Frets on Fire. This game is open source so that means that it doesn’t cost you a thing to download. The way this game works is thay you can download songs, google Frets on Fire songs, and add them to the game and using a legal version of the song you downloaded you can play it, just like Guitar Hero. There is also a Guitar Hero theme for Frets on Fire that emulates the sounds and looks of the popular game which you can find on Google. So how do you play it?Well you can use your keyboard to play the game but how is that fun? You can use the USB guitar from Guitar Hero 2 or 3 so long as its the USB version, which the Xbox 360 version it is. Now this works like a charm for Windows XP, I have yet to test it on OS X.Can I play Guitar Hero songs? The answer is yes if you can find a file, as mentioned before, that allows you to play the song but you must own the song, legally! Of course you can search for “frets on fire” on your favorite torrent site and find a song pack or two but thats illegal and I cannot tell you to do that.
