Asus Eee PC Netbook Review

Asus has completely shocked me on the quality of its Netbooks. I purchased one of these for $249 ($100 off!) the other day, and was stoked to find any left.
I brought it home, unboxed it, booted it up with no problems. I uninstalled the bloatware that Windows is known for being packaged with, and I was off to the races! …for about 3 hours. Then things turned for the worse.
The trackpad went completely out of wack. I lost control of the pointer, as it violently shook on the screen, highlighting random words, and opening random programs. A virus? No. I wasn’t connected to the Internet, and never got the chance to on this scrap metal.
The Netbook then started to freeze and began to heat up. I went to my MacBook and searched numerous forums on Google, never to find an answer. I did learn that the Netbook was equipped with Intel Celeron M and NOT Atom. Way to go, Asus.
I never got my problems solved, and ended up returning the whole unit. I got my refund, and purchased a Canon PowerShot SD780 IS, due to the fact I was in dire need of a new digital camera. Review on that soon.
Lesson learned: Never purchase an Eee PC. And that is my advice to you.

I bought an EEE PC 900 with a 900MHz celeron and it works rather nicely.
