Debt Collectors and Telemarketers

All week long, I have had a consistent flow of two types of calls everyone hates: telemarketers and debt collection agencies. I recently was laid off in this wonderful economic crisis, therefore I have no money which means I am going to have to take out a loan to pay off my debt while growing deeper in debt with this new loan. I lose either way. And as I type this, Macy’s credit card department is calling me. Be right back.

The debt collectors are just doing their job, I understand that. But then we have these telemarketers. And it’s a particular organization. They call every hour on the hour, asking for donations to a veteran’s foundation. I appreciate the men and women who serve and have served this country, but I have no job, and have no room for extra expenses. So stop calling me.

Two pieces of advice: Don’t sign up for credit cards and do not list your phone number in the phone book.

Danny, they have to stop calling if you tell ‘em to. Also, I throw in that, if they don’t, I WILL find them, and I WILL kick their ass! Best of luck finding a new job. Stay motivated and you’ll perservere.
