My WWDC 2009 Predictions

We all know WWDC is just around the corner. Rumors speculate that Steve Jobs will be once again performing the keynote, which, in my opinion, makes it that much more fun. Don’t get me wrong, Phil Schiller did a fine job during MacWorld 2009, but he wasn’t Steve.

A Verizon-based iPhone - Many speculate that Apple is creating an iPhone for Verizon Wireless. However, since Verizon does not use SIM cards in their phones, a completely new phone must be made. I imagine it will look similar to what AT&T’s new iPhone will look like, just without a SIM card slot at the top.

A MacTablet - This has been rumored many times before, but recently, Apple ordered shipments of 10″ screens, possibly with touch screen capabilities. It is also suggested that Apple could be making Netbooks, but the company has stated before that they are not interested in that market at this time. They could always change their mind, though.

Most likely they will show a preview of Snow Leopard, as well as an internal refresh on the MacBooks and MacBook Pros, meaning more HDD space and Processor speeds.
