Making the switch, in more ways than one

So, this ends up being my new blog space after having tried — and hated — others. We’ll see how things work here. It seems an appropriate time for the switch, what with having just decided to change majors from Psychology to Computer Science. Just seems that a place like this one may feel a bit more like home.

Speaking of switching, it has finally become time for me to say goodbye to Microsoft Windows. I’ve loathed the entire experience (and I haven’t even had the nightmares of Vista that many others have), but I lacked the time/motivation to use Linux and lacked the money to buy a Macintosh.

BUT… this Gateway laptop just ain’t cutting it anymore. Not that it ever has (WORST money I’ve ever spent on a computer). With the new year will come a new laptop and, for me, a new platform. Having read the reviews (good and bad), the conclusion has been made. This year’s Christmas present to myself… MacBook Pro.

Yep… it’s time for making the switch, in more ways than one.
