Current State of the Economy and the Presidential Election

With the current state of the economy being so bad, you would think that presidential candidates would be looking out for us.  When I say "looking out for us," I mean by offering us more than a Gas Tax Holiday that is only going to save use a couple cents per day.

Hillary Clinton is still campaigning and she has every right to still be doing so.  Even though there are only 6 primaries/caucuses remaining and she currently needs 67% of all remaining delegates and superdelegates in order to beat Barack Obama for the Democratic Nomination.

FYI:  According to my calculation on the AP’s website and the Barack Obama blog, since Wednesday, 9 superdelegates have endorsed Obama, while Clinton doesn’t seem to have had any endorse her.  In fact she is losing superdelegates as they change their endorsement to Obama.  The biggest of these changes coming from former DNC Chair Joe Andrew (nominated by Bill Clinton from 1999 to 2001) who switched from Hillary to Obama on May 1.

With that said, one of the first things she said during her speech at Tuesday night in Indiana was that she needs her supporters to keep donating money to her campaign she can keep going against an opponent that continues to outspend her 3,4,5 to 1.  Yesterday her campaign is so far behind in the amount of money that they have raised, that she once again had to donate $6 million to her campaign.  All of the money that she has in her campaign’s budget, from both herself and her supports, is going right down the toilet.

Because we are in such a bad economic period in, shouldn’t she just do the best thing and just drop out of the race for the Democratic nomination?  With how difficult to it is going to be for her to win, she should at least concede and save her supports from wasting their money.

Who the hell are you and what are your credentials qualifying you to command my attention. I read Lockergnome for computer information. I go else where for my political expertise. You and Chris should stay in your areas of expertise, assuming you have any.

I don’t believe that I commanded your attention. When did I say “Paula Mochel” you have to come to my blog and read my thoughts?

Do you go after the Lockergnome blog posts of Catherine Forsythe? She writes about non-tech things all the time. Since the beginning of May, she as written about sports, smoking bans, preparing for exams, the American drug supply, dog behavior (which she frequently writes about), and comparing health benefits between a grocery store cashier and a teacher.

Lockergnome is more than just a tech blog. In the future, I highly suggest that you live by the words of Thumper’s mother in Bambi. “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”

I hope you have a great day.
