I’ve always hated having to search around my computer for something. It is so much easier just to use shortcut keys on your keyboard. Personally I find myself using Run a lot to open things. I found an application that allows you to search for files, open applications, and open up Web sites all from this very small and good-looking program. This program is called Launchy.

Launchy indexes the all of the programs in your start menu so that you can launch them from basically just a few keystrokes. You can open bookmarks and folders as well. I find that it is a very helpful program if you don’t want to spend too much time searching for your stuff.

To search for something on Launchy you open up the program and it will have a search box. You type anything you want into the search box and Launchy will find it for you. It’s as easy as that. If you have multiple things with similar names it will open up a drop down menu for you.
