I used to get a lot of reading done, but I saw too many sunrises that way. The cure for me was . The wildest entertainment available. From UFOs to kooks to scientists to Jesus. Listen on your local (usually AM) radio station or break down and subscribe to the streaming audio and broadcast it around your own house/apt. commercial free. I find that ear buds are not uncomfortable, but sometimes I use a pillow speaker. Beware: it can be addictive... Now I sleep better (thanks to a CPAP, see your article about apnea) but I stay up late to listen to it anyway, at least some of the time!

If you're having trouble sleeping, I learned a trick from a hypnotist that seems to work great. Start counting backwards from 100 and forward in the alphabet line and repeat a phrase like "body relax". It goes like this:
100, a, Body relax
99, b, body relax
98, c, body relax
...
If you lose track of where you are due to wandering thoughts or sleep cycles hitting you but not knocking you all the way out, just start over. Sometimes you'll lose track of which alphabet letter you're on but just keep going with whatever you think it is. This works because the mind can only hold so many things in it at a time and by going in two different directions it's enough of a mental strain that you can't consciously think about other things like all the stuff you've got to do the next day. (keep a pad by your bed to jot those down so you don't stress yourself about what needs done).

I think youtube needs to get a lot more staff on board. They need to be able to delete violated videos very quickly before these large company's see them like Wonder bros.
Google needs to step up security, or if needed, maybe have every single video go through a validation process, when an admin has to check to see if it meats all specifications and does not violate Terms of Services.
I would hate to see youtube go down like this.. people have known youtube for YEARS.

Here it comes again. I am sick of these file-sharing types of lawsuits. The people who deliver these files throughout the internet is doing everyone a favor. I don't want any more companies attacking YouTube! YouTube is the only video site with a vast variety. Everyone loves it. Want to know how to do something? YouTube it! Want to see the funny Mad-tv moment again? YouTube it! Want to learn something new? YouTube it! Want to hear that song again? YouTube it! This list can go on and on. The main point is that YouTube is a sort of video version of Google with out having to look through many bad web sites. I hope YouTube won't get hurt. Thanks for reading.

Get a Free Audio Book

Are you tired of reading books? Me too. Over the years, I developed pulpuslaceratapohobia - and the only known cure for that is Audible. Finally, a way to digest words without actually having to read them. Professional voices are wonderful choices if you love literary works in audio format. Are you ready to read some audio books? Maybe you should just listen to them instead.

VMware and Parallels for Virtual Machines

It doesn't matter if you're running on Windows or Mac OS X - every power user needs either Parallels or VMware (or both). There's never been an easier way to test software without destroying your primary operating system's stability. Think of how many times you wish you could press a 'reverse' button on your computer. Plus, there's no easier way to try new Linux distributions - see what all the fuss is about. Run Windows in OS X, run Linux in Windows, but the best way to do either is with VMware and/or Parallels.
