Manliness – A Lost Art?

I recently came across a very cool site that has been added to my list of “enjoyable reading that doesn’t have anything to do with a computer®.” I’m sad that being a gentleman has become a lost art in our time and that many of the important things a dad is supposed to teach his boy is becoming “ancient” history. The Art of Manliness is working diligently to return some of the tricks of the trade back into being a man that can dress smartly and learn about many of the tools of the trade, such as pocketknives, shaving kits and fireworks. Yeah … even fireworks!

There are other concepts that are also dying alongside manliness. They include honor, trust, faith, and respect. As men, we seem to face an uphill battle to retain our own identity in a world that is rapidly sinking into a bubbling pit of ‘don’t care’.
