Rant: Large Companies That Use Low Bandwidth Web Page Hosting

I am at work right now working on upgrading one of my BES (Blackberry Enterprise Servers). I have a support subscription that entitles me to free upgrades. I am in the process of downloading 453 Meg download for this. I have a direct connection Tier 1 Backbone to the Internet over 100 Meg fiber, and the fastest speed I can get this download from Blackberry (RIM) is 72.8KB/Sec. This is a shameful download speed, especially from a large company as Blackberry. This is while using $700 a year support agreement. GET WITH IT BLACKBERRY….

Ugh, I hear you. I tried to download this at a client’s site, but had to cancel it because I charge by the hour.
