EBay - Shipping Out Of The Country - Thoughts

EBay is a great way to make money. People all over the world are can purchase your goods. I just had a customer that just purchased one of my items from out of the country ask me to Mark As Gift and put a lower declared value on the item I am shipping. This has happened many times before, and always annoys me. This is not a gift. US Federal laws do not allow this. They are cheating their own countries tax and customs laws. They cause problems when you are trying to insure the item. I hate being asked this question. It always comes to a moral question (Lie or Don’t Lie). I guess I will just have to put it in my auctions somewhere that I do not Mark As Gift. I may lose a few potential bidder, but I gain integrity.
