What To Do With Your Old Digital Camera

If you are anything like me, you are always upgrading your electronics. Upgrading does not always have to mean that you throw away, recycle, or pawn your old equipment on others. Case in point would be your old digital camera. No matter the quality of the camera, it can still serve a good purpose. Take that old camera of yours, and always keep it in the glove box of your car for emergencies. If you have to deal with a car accident, natural disaster, once in a lifetime photo op, or whatever you will be prepared. Just make sure that you have working batteries in it, and you will be good. Since it is your old camera, if for some reason your car is broken into, you do not have to worry about loosing your newest most up to date camera.

I have two digital cameras. Promise not to laugh.
OK, camera number 1(one) would be my Sony DSC-F1.
That’s right, one of the original good ones.
While only 0.3 mega pixel resolutions, it is plenty
for the viewing on your monitor and great for wallet size
photos on paper. Great thing about this camera is that
it has video out (RCA) so you can use it as video source.
I paid $500 for it back in 1999. Sony always rocked.
My second camera is the Samsung 5.0 mega pixel with optical
zoom. Very nice quality, and damn near matches the output
quality of a more expensive, and my thought overkill, SLR.
I paid only 90 bucks for this one. Get at least 1GB memory.
I do not see a good reason to upgrade at this time.
I also take very good care of my digital equipment as does Mr. Pirillo.
My top five tips when buying one is:
1. Set a budget and stick with it.
2. Got to have optical zoom (minimum 3X)
3. Flash location far from lens.
4. Pay a little more for brand name. (hmm, thinkin’ Sony….)
5. Consumer feedback. Google it.
I hope this helps all readers.
