As you might know I posted a video a few days ago about what I thought about the new Microsoft ad. I know that this made quite a bit of you mad and today I am going to give you my real (as unbiased as I can get it) opinion on the Mac vs PC debates. Keep in mind that I am a Mac lover so some of my points are leaned toward the Mac side, but, hey, Windows 7 is looking good — Microsoft, just don’t ruin it between now and August. So without further ado, here is the video.

I have 3 Windows machines and one Mac Pro. It really depends on the software you use and what platform you want to do the work on. I do 3D graphics, Motion Graphics, and Video Work. The Mac does it job for me well because of the software - NOT THE HARDWARE. I use Final Cut Pro and Shake. For my Adobe suite (After Effects, Photoshop) I use Vista Ultimate (I was one to rant against vista). I was wrong. Vista runs great (FOR ME). I think they finally got the bugs out. It helps to buy the latest hardware (quad 7i processors) with the RAM maxed out too. Errors, I have had them both on the MAC and the PC. My problem with the MAC is the cost of additional memory. If I can do the same demanding HD video work on a PC for half the cost of the hardware, I would be a fool to not save the money.

Just making sure that you all know this, but Apple way over charges for their RAM. You can get good quality RAM from crucial.com for a fraction on the price.
