Internet vs. TV

In this day and age you can watch TV online. Wether you pay for it or you use a free service such as hulu.com or another service you can get TV online. Also you can’t forget youtube.com and all the videos there. The question has to come to mind wether you like to watch TV on your computer better than your TV. And now with more advanced LCD technology your computer screen can even be as big as you TV screen. The only drawback is if you have a slower computer; it takes some CPU to run a TV tuner on your computer. I like to watch TV online however without paying for a separate service to get full channels you are limited to basic channels like in the days of the antenna except better quality. I wouldn’t be surprised if in the coming future a cable company included online access to full channels. I would love that.

So what do you think? Do you think that we will migrate over to online internet in the next few years? I think we have already started. Also do you think the TV will become a thing of the past eventually? I don’t think the TV will become “extinct”, however I do thin it will become less popular.
