What I think about Bill Gates leaving

Even though I am not Microsoft’s biggest fan I am somewhat interested in the fact that Bill Gates is leaving. I have my doubts about the new CEO and how the company will be run. I really think that everybody has to retire sometime and that you know this what Bill’s time. I totally understand the fact that he is leaving and will now approach Microsoft in a open minded way. Now that there is someone new in charge doesn’t men that things will change, but they sure could. There is a list of things that Microsoft could do; the biggest thing being quality. I think that now it will be very interesting to see what will happen with the next operating system. You know with Vista not being all the rage and XP going out of style then you are left with a choice. You know a new OS should be much better than its older brother, but this is something that could be improved with the “new” Microsoft. Me being a long time windows fan and just recently become Mac’s biggest fanboy will look into this as an opportunity. There could be many things done with the next OS and how the company is run. So for me this will mean taking another look into Microsoft and quite possibly switching back to Windows 7. It would take a lot to make me do that, but I am just after what is the best thing out there; right now it is OS X 10.5, That could very well change though. All Microsoft would have to do is make a stable, fast, attractive, and innovative OS. Right now I would be happy if they would just focus on stability and being innovative. say this because Windows has to be the most unstable OS and the least innovative. All it would take is to come up with 3 or 4 new features unheard of to the rest of the world and they could have their market back. For right now I am going to stick with my Mac Mini (hoping for an upgrade) and watch the new age of technology form right in front of my eyes. So with Windows Vista basically sucking Microsoft has a job to do and Apple has some things to work on also. Mainly the price of the product. They will NEVER become anything like Microsoft until they have lowered their prices.
