Mac VS. PC: the Final Frontier

Below is my response to this article The Mac VS PC article by AOL Shopping.
I my opinion there is one big thing that makes macs better than a pc. They don’t have as many problems. They just have a better seamless experience. Im sure you remember when windows would hang up or maybe even blue screen. When you are doing work you don’t want your computer to “quit”. On you mac they don’t crash ever. When a program freezes up it is just that program not the whole thing.
Also they were saying about how a pc is cheaper to maintain. Well I have had mine 1 year and haven’t spent a lick of money in repairs. They were talking about the lack of compatibility. Well I just as easy could still be using 10.4 and I would be fine. Besides I like having the newest thing. Also about upgrading every year or so. Well a lot of these upgrades are free. When they do come up with a whole new one it costs around $120. While Windows upgrades about every 5 years Windows Vista home basic cost like $600 more than my computer in whole. Also about cost Apple Mac mini is $599 right with the pc cost.
Well about not having programs. I have not missed any programs with Mac. The programs they don’t make mac has a better solution for.
Now about Hardware. They say that pc’s come with better hard ware. True, but you know what my mac does things faster then my pc that has twice as much “power”. Now lets move to the software and gaming part. There is all the software that I could wont and more. Gaming. Well for now I will have to stick with Windows XPm NOT Vista dudududua…
Style well mac has got it down.
How long will it last. Well pc vs mac about the same. Now if you want a laptop you can upgrade then you want to get a mac because the things to upgrade are right under the battery for easy access.
So now to the highest issue cost. Well if you have a squeezed budget and still want a mac you can get a Mac Mini other wise you will want to get the iMac. Or you could get the PC as it is much cheaper. Well I think you get what yo pay u for. I have been really satisfied with my Apple Mac Mini. I am still waiting for an Apple Laptop in the $600-700 range.
Overall you take your pick I pick Mac. Quit dishing mac and not giving them what they deserve what do I mean you might ask. Well like when they said Apple upgrades Yearly they failed to mention that it only costs $120 not $600. Also when they said that macs have less “power” yep well they failed to mention they still operate faster. Please comment and let me know what you think.

Mac is sweet, but expensive. I just wish that all pc games were compatible with mac. then i would make the switch in a second. And I also wish that apple didn’t make their own stuff, because then I could build killed apple gaming rigs for cheap! i just hate how apple is so expensive

Well you have convinced me that Mac rocks! I like the way iphoto works so easily and the itunes store allows me to download music, movies and audiobooks quickly and safely.

I’m duo booting Linux and OSX86 on my $700 Dell laptop. I can run iLife and iWork just fine. I know you guys can’t seem to remember that Microsoft doesn’t manufacture computers, but aside from an EFI bios you have the same innards.
I don’t want to swap a software lock in for a hardware and software lock in. yes, I know I can run Windows and Linux on a Mac, but I’m running OSX on my commodity Dell laptop.

Start dealing with all the different hardware that Microsoft has to deal with, and top with pretty fscking stupid users, and I think you’ll find that it doesn’t hold.

In reply to Bryan. I have to say that that is true. You know if Microsoft made their own computers then maybe they wouldn’t have the “problem” they do. But they don’t. Apple does and for now that is working. I along with many other people wish that they would bring the price down though. Like a laptop for $500-600 range. This would help for them to bring in some more business and be able to bring the overall price down.
