Firefox 3.0 Review

Ok so by now most of us know that Firefox 3.0 is here. I have been doing some experimentation with it for the past few days and I thought I would post about what thought about it.

First off I will suggest some plugging that are nice to have. the firs is Feedly. Chris did a vid on this so I tried it out. I didn’t really like it because it was a bit overwhelming. The next is the Accuweather plugin. This is a weather plugging that gets the current and the next three days of weather and displays them in the toolbar of your choice. I like this for me.

The next thing I will get into is what I think about the overall design. It is defiantly better than Firefox 2.0 and looks nice. The only thing I would have to complain about is the new way to display that drop down from the URL bar. I forget what it is called, but to me it takes u too much space and just us too big. There is a plugin for this, but I forget what it is. Chris has done a vid on this. It is called something like essential firefox plugins.

Overall I think that Firefox is worth giving a shot. I have tried it and have gone back to Safari just because it is faster and has everything I want. If you already have Firefox 2.0 I would defiantly suggest updating to Firefox 3.0. I still have Firefox on my mac due to the fact that not everything is supported by Safari. So give Firefox 3.0 a shot. What do you have to loose one thing is for sure it is a lot better than Internet Explorer. Don’t even get me started. Hey, while your at it if you just wont a lite, fast, and stable browser then try Safari. It is not bad.
