Why Quicktime Pro?

Why does Apple require you to pay for quick time pro? You know just to get the “extras” like save the movie as a download on your hard drive. Apple really needs to take this into consideration ad fix it. Professional is not being able to save things. Come on! Apple should at least let you save the movie as a file on your hard drive with the free version. If I want to save a movie as a file so I can e-mail it out it asks me to buy pro. So I have to switch to my pc and open the file in Media Player then save it so I can open it. I may just pay the $30.00 and get the extra options, but all I want is to be able to save the movie as a .mp4 file. Here is a screen shot of all the missing features.
