Hi,

Now i have been using using msn for 5 years now. And over the years msn has updated its program. I am now at msn 8.1 with messenger plus. And with more and more people using apple computers, msn has a conflict between windows and apple with webcam support.

Example
I use Msn a lot, i also use the video call feature a lot. Now i have a windows and my friend has a apple. Every time we want to do a video call msn puts a message up saying “The user cant use webcam support”. It works ok with windows to windows but from windows to apple and vice versa its a different story.

Problem
It not either you or your apple user friend, but msn program it self. Msn has not yet solved this bug in the program. When msn was relased it was for window users only now apple has msn and you can only send and receive text. All we can hope is msn will fix the bug in its next version.

What Now
There are loads of programs and sites for webcam support for window to apple. If you want to keep your msn account try Pidgin its a All-in-one chat client it supports Msn,Aim,Google talk and yahoo. Or you can use skype and use webcam support there.

My Views
Well me and my friend always wanted to use webcam support. And because i have a windows and he has a apple we cant do that. I suggested to him to try pidgin or skype (Which i already have) and he replyed “Ah that means i have to download and install ah to much trouble” well I’m not going to force him to download the program but all i can say is there is no trouble.
