Ethan Weitz Charters Update

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to add a few pictures to the Ethan Weitz Charters photo gallery. Sandie and Ethan Weitz took a group from the Patterns Program out fishing off Marina del Rey and brought in a hell of a catch.
Check it out when you get a chance and see for your self.

What Just Happened at Slap Yo Face Off?

Last night I completed the October 2004 update on SlapYoFaceOff. We’re a few days behind schedule due to a few hurricanes to blow through Florida but the extra time was well worth it.
All the videos this month are incredibly funny. Last month’s 100,000+ visits to SlapYoFaceOff will hopefully be only a fraction of [...]

SlapYoFaceOff on Yahoo! Picks

SlapYoFaceOff received a huge influx of traffic yesterday from Yahoo! After the smallest bit of research (reviewing log files) I noticed that SlapYoFaceOff was featured on Yahoo! Picks on 15 Sep 2004.
Brian and I are quite happy about this and welcome everyone on the face of the planet to a good laugh over at [...]

Insanity Prevails at Slap Yo Face Off

September’s update of SlapYoFaceOff is complete and up for the world to see.
September’s slaps are quite interesting. There are six slaps in all but three of them were submitted by the fans of SlapYoFaceOff. That means that three people are in the running for a SlapYoFaceOff prize pack this month.
The forum is free [...]

chrisshort.net and Google AdSense

nbsp;chrisshort.net has now fully incorporated Google AdSense ads across the site.
After some thinking, a little work, and some testing ads are now being displayed across chrisshort.net.
The idea was to ensure that the ads would enhance the content without taking away from the visitor’s experience. I think that has been accomplished.

Slap Yo Face Off - Ramping Up for September

I’ve begun work on September’s additions to SlapYoFaceOff.
There will be a few changes this month that we’re very excited about. The biggest change is voting confirmation for the Slap of the Month. This will force visitors to make sure they are voting for the right video as opposed to one click, one vote. [...]

Testing Google AdSense

After working with Google AdSense on some logistical issues with displaying ads on chrisshort.net and getting in to a new beta program they’re running regarding keyword filtering I’ve decided to start testing ads on chrisshort.net.
Ads are only on the home page at this point. The look and feel of the ads is what I’m more concerned [...]

The Google AdSense Problem

For a while I’ve been contemplating conservatively placing Google AdSense ads here on chrisshort.net.
The only problem is that there are more than 200 web sites I wouldn’t want to display here on chrisshort.net and there has to be a better way of filtering out what kind of ads are displayed on what kind of entries on a [...]
