This Super Bowl commercial is a simply horrible effort from the marketing department at Garmin. Of all the things to put up during the Super Bowl they came up with this? That’s terrible and I want those thirty seconds of my life back.

The Garmin commercial was a big hit here at ranchero indebto. Go figure! We laughed nearly all the way through it. Among the others … Bud’s agency put in their usual fine effort. CareerBuilder was fun, but I miss the monkey. Coca-Cola’s CG pieces were fantastically complex. All-in-all, this year was yet another shadow of the excesses of those crazy dotcom years …

With regards to the Garmin commercial, I just found it bizarre. I understood the reference to the 1950’s Sci Fi movie with the same creatures, but the hard rock music was just a stupid match…
