Firefox 2: Tell Me Something Isn’t Wrong!

I’ve talked (as well as others) about the myriad of memory issues that I’ve seen with Firefox as of late. What I bring you today is proof that Firefox has some serious issues. What you see below is a instance of Firefox with ten tabs open running at 95% CPU utilization and using 164,920K of memory.

Now that’s excessive!

Be curious to see a bunch of the other fields, like VM Size, page faults, etc. :)

I read somewhere that Firefox was “optimized” for Linux and it’s performance on Windows was categorically different. To me, what this suggests is that there’s really two Firefoxes. But I’m no expert on these things, I just read a lot of blogs…
