Why Sega Should Release A New Console

“Why Sega should release a new console” is the title of Don Reisinger’s CNET.com’s blog.
He speaks about Sega and its failures in the video game industry. He speaks about how Sega should adopt a new way of thinking and bring their existence into the video game hardware department!

Actually, Sega’s no a newcomer when it comes to developing video game consoles. In fact, it had already developed two or three consoles (Saturn and Dreamcast), but two had gravely failed!

Don Reisinger thinks that Sega should develop a next gen console in order for it to overcome its yearly losses in the video game front.

I honestly believe that if Sega would do a great, unbelievably good features that it would actually succeed in the console war. Who needs a fourth console if it didn’t have anything new to offer to the market and gamers? Xbox has taken over the online department, PS3 has taken over the good quailty games and the new Blu-Ray approach and Wii has certainly taken the fun part I guess and a new controllers scheme.

If Sega didn’t offer anything new, no one will buy their new-would-be-console. What do you think? I’m interested in knowing who actually would welcome Sega if it did actually make a new console!

I think the Sega Dreamcast console was very far advanced for the time. The graphics were good. They were overshadowed by Sony who were greatly becoming popular in not only the gaming world but in general, for handheld devices, radios etc..

What Do You Think?
