I like unexpected technology ideas and this is one of those “Why didn’t I think of that!?” ones. It looks like just another “Take-A-Penny Leave-A-Penny” tray found in just about every convenience store, but in reality it is a hidden camera. The camera is angled upwards, perfect for capturing the smiling faces of those robbers who hide their faces from the overhead camera with ball caps. Called the “PennyCam”, it connects to a DVR and is powered by a 12v DC adapter. It produces 500 X 582 pixel images with its Sony CCD 1/3 inch image sensor. Price is about $199.00.
